The Barrakka Elevator
The Barrakka lift is a fast and efficient connection between the grand harbor (Lascaris Wharf) and city of Valletta. The Barrakka lift is about 500 meters from the cruise liner terminal.
The elevator is equipped with two cabins. Each cabin has a capacity of 21 people. The height of the elevator is 58 meters. A total of 800 people can be transported per hour. The lift was opened in December 2012.
