St. Elmo Bay
When on 12th February 1942 the luftwaffe bombed the Grand Harbour the HMS Maori was hit.
This mighty torpedoboat which had been fighting against the dreaded Bismarck, had been hit in the engine room that filled up causing the HMS Maori to sink. Now she rests at a depth of 14 metres, overgrown by neptunes grass and peacock alga.

The HMS Maori was hit in the Grand Harbor and eventually towed to her final resting place, off the coast of St. Elmo on the date 15th July 1945.
