Royal Opera House

Malta's National Opera House was severely damaged during the bombardments of WWII and was never rebuilt, for reasons unknown to the public.

This opera house was a copy of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, by the British architect Edward Middleton Barry in 1866.

At present it is made functional again, albeit as an open-air theatre (Pjazza Teatru Rjal).
