Msida Parish Church / St Joseph’s Church
Msida became a parish in 1867, created by Archbishop Gaetano Pace Forno, and the old church of the Immaculate Conception served as a parish church. This church still exists.
When the church became too small a new church was built at the current location, which was finished in 1889. The church is dedicated to Saint Joseph.
The church is a traditional baroque church in the style of 100 years before. The building is built in the shape of a cross. Andrea Grima may have been inspired by the St. Catherine's Church of Żejtun (architect Lorenzo Gafà).
