Mdina Dungeons (Museum)
In medial times people were locked up in the stocks for the day, for instance, merchants who were caught cheating with weights and scales. It was hoped that after a day of pubic shame, the merchants would no longer cheat.
The Mdina Dungeons consist of a series of underground passageways, where you walk through and see the chambers and cells in which gruesome scenes of murder and torture are displayed, a recreation of events throughout the whole history of Malta, however shown
from the dark side, of the Romans, Arabs and Knights till Napoleon.
