Archbishop’s Palace
The Archbishop's Palace was designed by Tommaso Dingli and was completed in 1624.
The Archbishop’s Palace in Valletta has been the residence of the Bishop, and later on the Archbishop, for almost four centuries.
The building houses now the Tribunal of First Instance of the Catholic Church in Malta.
The people of God can report failed marriages to this Tribunal. Divorce can take place after investigation, assisted if necessary by professionals from the legal, psychological, psychiatric and medical world.
Opening hours
This building is not open to the public.
Additional information
The Archbishop's Palace is closed to the public. Once a year, a number of viewing days are planned for the public.
